This painting lay unfinished till this week. A layer of sand created a lovely textural quality and I was very happy with the final piece. An artist friend liked it too and snapped it up unmounted. Result! Must try a bigger version.
I am an artist living in the Highlands of Scotland. With a background in geography and geology, the physical landscape is my main inspiration. However I also like experimenting with a quirky variety of subjects. I work in oil, acrylic and mixed media to create images with pattern, texture and colour. These can be abstract or representational.
I exhibit in galleries in and around Inverness and occasionally south of the highland boundary fault.
